The Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator is responsible for identifying, analyzing and leading operational process improvements including efficiency improvements, cost reduction and increasing customer satisfaction. Prepare, conduct and follow-up on improvement events. Take a lead role in running Kaizen events and performing CI projects, employee engagement, and developing standard work as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  Plan, provide training and execute cross-functional problem-solving Kaizen events using CI tools (5S, Visual Management, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Self-motivated, facilitating and conducting root cause analysis problem solving for operational CI projects. Create and maintain CI project documents including action item list, perform follow up and communicate progress. Create and update standard work process documents and procedures. Support advancing a continuous improvement culture change.

 

QUALIFICIATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates degree required, bachelors preferred
  • Black Belt preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Very good organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to motivate others and influence without authority to achieve results
  • Commitment to process improvement, persistent with a positive customer-focused attitude
  • Understand and use analytical and statistical process improvement tools.
  • Computer literate and can use Microsoft office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word)

Language Skills

  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking, sitting, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working in a loud, highly fragrant industrial environment.
